Citizen Science
My favorite way where science meets society is in citizen science - where citizens get to participate in a research study. Robin Talks Science was involved in 2 citizen science projects at Hasselt University for their social media, data analysis and email communication. One was Bodemleven (Limburg, 2023), a study of the soil life in gardens in Limburg. Another was WASP (global, 2024), a worldwide survey on our perception of endagered animals).
