Welcome to Robin Talks Science privacy policy
 

Here, your privacy matters, and I want you to feel confident and informed when you visit my website. This policy explains how, at Robin Talks Science, I collect, use and protect your personal information when you visit and use this website, and the choices you have over it. By accessing or using this site, you agree to the terms further outlined. My aim is to be as transparent and respectful of your data as possible.

This policy is in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. This privacy policy applies to Robin Talks Science, located at Mejlgade 50A, 3, 8000 Aarhus and enters into force on 01.06.2025.

1. Robin Talks Science website

This website aims to facilitate the contact between the two of us, where you can have an overview of my services, events and channels and reach out to me regarding any request. I (Robin Bonné) am the person responsible for processing your data, and my goal is to provide you with my best service while respecting your privacy.

2. Collecting information

Depending on how you use our website we collect two types of information.

 

Your IP address, browser type, device information (mobile or desktop) pages you view, time you spend and links you click within this website and what cookies you accept is collected automatically. This information is used for performance, security and improvement purposes.

Apart from that, I only collect and process the personal data that you voluntarily share with me, such as when you reach out to me by email or by filling out my contact form or subscribe to my newsletter. This will be your first and last name, phone number, email address and any personal details you choose to share with me, messages sent through contact forms or chat and payment details.

 

By using this website and providing your data, you explicitly agree to the manner in which I will collect and process your personal data.

3. Using information

I only use your personal data for the purposes for which you provided it (starting a chat, reaching back to you for answering questions, providing information through a newsletter, arranging one of my workshops and/or making a payment for my services), so that I can satisfy your needs as my customer.

Always with requested permission from you, I can use your data for commercial reasons (such as name and personal data provided specially for this purpose). Examples are testimonials, portfolio or social media posts.

Your personal data will be stored for as long as necessary to perform the service. Your billing data will be stored for 7 years because the law prescribes this. The data that I collect for direct marketing purposes will be stored until you unsubscribe. I process your personal data in order to comply with legal obligations.

To make sure that your data is protected I use the following:

  • HTTPS encryption for secure browsing

  • Data storage on trusted, secure Wix servers

  • Restricted access to personal information

  • Regular monitoring for potential vulnerabilities

I respect your privacy and only share your data with trusted third parties when necessary. Those include the following:

  • Wix – my website hosting provider

  • Google Analytics – to understand website traffic and usage

  • Payment services are always done through bank transfer

  • Email marketing and communication platforms (Mailchimp, Gmail) – for newsletters and updates

  • Legal authorities – if required by law

Sometimes I link to other websites (like social media or helpful resources). Please note that I am not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party sites. I will never sell your personal data, such as for commercial purposes.

When sharing your data with me you give me permission to register your data and exchange your data, within the terms outlined in this privacy policy. Regarding this data, at all times within the EU you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data I hold about you

  • Request correction or deletion of your data

  • Withdraw your consent at any time

  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing

  • Request a copy of your data

 

To exercise any of these rights, email me at robin.talks.science@gmail.com with a copy of your identity card (so i can verify your identity). When submitting this request I will reply within four weeks informing you of the outcome of this request. Please, consider that your request might be denied if found excessive or unfounded. You also have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority, which in Denmark is the Danish Data Protection Agency (https://www.datatilsynet.dk/).
