Presentation bootcamp (2 days)
A clear research story that captivates the audience, and a powerful way to transmit it are key to efficient science communication. If you are a young researcher that wants to improve in these areas, this bootcamp is for you! By joining you will get the complete guide to become a confident storyteller.
In the first module we dive into storytelling theory, using useful and clear techniques to write your own science story. A second module focuses on delivering a presentation: with body language exercises in a safe setting you learn to leave your nerves behind on stage. It all comes together in a roleplaying exercise, where we practice and analyze each other's presentation. You walk away with a personal and concise science story for your next talk. The training comes with a summary booklet filled with useful templates and tips to come back to anytime you need.
If you would like to provide your students with these life-useful skills for your conference, research group, or PhD school, reach out! The program can be fully tailored to your needs.
If you get the "More workshops like this one!!!" comment from your students you know you did it right!! Thank you Robin Talks Science for an amazing workshop. Highly recommended to other PIs to send their students to you for the best training possible!

Consulting
One-on-one, tailored to your needs
Are you unsure how to find the narrative in your research? Do you want to turn your old powerpoint slides into a compelling story? Do you need some last minute advise to get your nerves down?
I offer one-on-one consultancy. A bit like a doctor's appointment, but for presentations. Book an appointment and let me help you turn those worries around!
Science theatre
Currently you can book me for a unique science theatre show about the adventures of the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache, tailored for your school or organisation.
In "15 maanden op Antarctica" the famous explorer himself shares his adventures about the cold and dark winters on Antarctica, his fights with Roald Amundsen and how penguin meat really tastes. A show full of intrigue, chilling stories and exotic discoveries!
